Student Caps and Gowns

All students participating in Commencement must purchase cap and gown in advance of the ceremony.  Caps and gowns will be available for purchase beginning April 6.

Students in the College of Dentistry, College of Medicine, and College of Pharmacy will receive information from their college regarding academic regalia.

All other students should use the bookstore that services their college.

Bachelor:  $28.95 

Master:  $54.95

PhD:  $82.95

Doctor (MD, DDS, DPT, PharmD):  available for purchase only through your college.  Contact your college for specific information.

Academic regalia consists of the following:

Bachelor:  blue cap, blue gown, tassel (see below for tassel colors) 

of Science: gold tassel
of Arts: white tassel
of Social Work: white tassel
Master:   blue cap, blue gown, tassel and hood indicative of college (see below for tassel and hood colors); hood is lined with flame and indigo 

Ph.D.:   red cap, red gown, gold tassel, and indigo hood lined with flame and indigo

Doctor (excluding PhD):  black cap, black gown, tassel and hood indicative of college (see below for tassel and hood colors); hood is lined with flame and indigo
